Dumb and Dumber To

The Dumber and Dumber sequel has had a rocky history. There’s been a lot of will they/won’t they, especially after news broke that Jim Carrey had left the project. But now everything seems to be smooth sailing and the Farrelly Brothers have just confirmed that the script is nearly finished. They’ve also given the sequel an official title, Dumb and Dumber To.
Peter and Bobby Farrelly broke the news through their Twitter, saying:

“You also might be interested to know that we are almost done with Dumb and Dumber To (sic) script. I think you’re going to like it.”

In the sequel, one of the two main characters goes searching for their long-lost child in order to have a kidney transplant.
Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are both reprising their roles. Principal photography is scheduled to begin in spring 2013 to accommodate Daniels’ commitment to HBO’s The Newsroom.
